Certini Bicycle Company

Certini Bicycle Company was established in 2001, family run with over 25 years of cycle trade experience they have grown to be one of the largest independent bicycle suppliers in the UK. They currently have two branches, one in Plymouth at the House of Fraser and one over the water in Cornwall. They also operate one of the UK’s largest Specialized Concept Store based in Saltash in Cornwall.

The challenge was to build a complete system that could link to their EPOS system taking the vast product range of over 6,000 items and inputing them directly into the website in one go. There was also an important requirement to have a product comparison function, enabling the user to choose up to three bikes displayed next to each other so that the user could compare the specifications. The other functionality that we offered in this development included a product buyers guide (also beneficial for SEO) and easy to activate vendors discounting system to reduce brand prices on special offer instantly and in bulk.

The website was an instant hit with their existing clients since their previous website was very difficult to navigate through the small range of products and checking out was near enough impossible. There are currently experiencing a surge in online sales.
