Jempak

Jempak is an online ribbon and gift packaging product supplier targeting the retail sector. Jempak has been selling online at Amazon in the recent years and their existing website was very old and out of date. Their success on the Amazon platform had been growing over the past 5 years, but had come to the point where Amazon was taking almost 25% of the total takings which started to amount to thousands of pounds per month, so it was time to re-develop their own eCommerce website design to attract more business directly to their own website where the high listing fees and commissions could be avoided.

We set out to develop an all new Magento 2 sales platform whilst using a premium Magento theme to help contain the cost of the new website. We also wanted to make the migration from the old website which had over 1,000 products and which we wanted to help import into the new system to save our client a lot of time re entering all her data. In fact our client turned out to be quite a whizz at spreadsheets and was happy to work on the XL file we supplied her with all the product data taken from the old site and go through updating the prices and descriptions accordingly. We then took the updated spreadsheet data along with the images supplied in a folder referenced in one of the column fields in the spreadsheet and import and match the images up to the products in one swoop.
