The importance of fresh content for your SEO
How and why should you keep adding content to your website
Keeping your website up to date with fresh and informative content is extremely beneficial for attracting more visits via the search engines as well as keeping your audience interested and coming back for more. There are various ways to disguise keyword rich content without it being un-natural sounding or too spammy making it obvious that it was written for a search engine and not a human reader. From the obvious like writing regular blog posts and articles to the not so usual like allowing comments on your pages it all goes towards making your site more popular in the eyes of the search engines. The bottom line of which is to remember that ‘content is king’ and the more you have the better your website will be ranked.
How does this work?
This is generally how and why this works so well. The more content that is associated with your website being indexed and ranked by the search engines the more they see your website as an authority on the products or services that you offer. This cannot be achieved over night of course and trying to forces thousands of new articles in one hit or in a very short period of time, down the throat of the search engines the more you could actually do damage with to your rank. Adding too many articles in one hit looks to the search engines to be un-natural and it will suspect that you are trying to fool them. So by trickling out your content in bite sized chunks on a regular weekly or even daily basis, will benefit your website tremendously.
The proof is in the pudding
Here is a small example of the power that content in your blog will bring you traffic. We placed a post up about wanting to be number one on Google back in 2009 and even to this day our article is still highly ranked on Google and is found on the first page of Google. You can check this for your self by searching for ‘I want to be number 1 on Google’ (click here to run that search now on Google) and you should find that our blog post is in the top three results on the first page. So the proof is in the pudding as they say and here is a god example of that.
Other ways to produce fresh content on your site is to invite customers to place a review, either on your products page or by asking them to write a short testimonial that you can use on one of your pages. This also gives other potential clients something to read about from previous clients that have been happy with your services.
