(cookies) KEEP CALM & CARRY ON
WHY WE’RE KEEPING OUR COOKIES CUPBOARD STOCKED. Website owners have been told that they must change the way they explain the use of cookies on their websites and, if they don’t, they face a potentially large fine. Over 90% of websites use cookies. These are the cookie laws that everyone has been talking about and are worrying many businesses. We have come to the conclusion that we will Keep Calm & Carry On. With all the historical references around the Jubilee last weekend, we were reminded of the stoicism of...
The stupid EU cookie law in 2½ minutes
We have spoken about the new EU Cookie law in the past and it has been one of those things we can’t decide what to think about. The just the other day I stumbled upon a video by Oliver at Silktide explaining this problem in more detail. He goes into detail (albeit non technical) what the law states, what our options are and I think it’s quite a clear way of describing this issue. If nothing else you can make a more informed decision about what you would like to do with...

Round navigation with overlapping CSS3 animations
I had some time to kill on friday afternoon so I decided to try if I could make a round navigation that overlaps the neighbouring menu items. I remember seeing it done with z-index and transparent png’s in the past, but it wasn’t a solution we give clients in a content management system. Adding more z-indexes to new menu items would be far to complicated. Sure, we could probably add some server side code or even javascript to make a dynamic class, but I thought to myself surely there must...
