SIGMA PLC’S STORY

Sigma is a family owned and family run business, which has been serving Independent Pharmacies, Dispensing Doctors and Hospitals for over 35 years. Being one of the largest independent pharmacy wholesalers in the UK meeting the independent needs of customers is at their heart. After the completion of SigConnect back in 2015 we were giving the project to create a corporate website for Sigma PLC. Serving the company as a corporate brochure, the task was to create an easy to navigate, visually pleasing website from what would normally be a typical corporate website. These old style websites tended to be crammed full of tiny text, no body could be bothered to read.

WHAT WE DID

The initial brief was to create something a bit more user friendly and mobile supported. Their old website was definitely worst for wear and had outlived its usefulness. We had to find a way of presenting the content in a more visual and logical way, whilst using WordPress to allow full control of the content. Areas of the website that had previously been buried deep within the site would now be brought to the attention of the visitors. We started off by showcasing the new automated pick and pack state of the art warehouse, on the front page slider. The new plant had recently been installed into their new warehouse building in Watford. Then the job was to gather all the relevant info from Sigma and organise it in an easy to follow structure. Making the website simple for users to find what they are looking for was key.

THE FINAL OUTCOME

The result is a very nice, clean and simple to navigate corporate website. The website contains all of the info that anyone would need to find, within just a couple of clicks. And of course with the huge rise in mobile and tablet devices. We ensured that the website would also look its best on all the various devices used.

We have since then been given more jobs for Sigma, including the latest project to develop a customer and staff portal for internal comms and to make their clients experience even better. The idea is to have one place they can visit to obtain all their info and to place orders all from within one login area. The project is still in progress, but its looking realy good already and will be launched later on this year.
